Not Now
Gai sat at the edge of the hospital bed glancing down at his young student that was sleeping soundly. Gai let out a sigh as he recalled the fight between Lee and the sand Nin named Gaara.

~flashback~
   Gai felt his heart almost break as he heard his students cry as his left arm and leg where crushed by sand. He couldn’t believe his eyes Lee used his strongest attack and yet the sand Nin still had energy to fight. Seeing lees unconscious form being surrounded by sand Gai jumped to save him afraid for a moment for his student’s life not wanting him to be killed at this point after all the blood sweat and tears not now…
~End flashback~

Feeling tears form at the corners of his eyes for the second time that day not wanting his student to wake up and see his tears Gai swiftly wiped them away Looking down at lee one last time before getting up to leave for the night. Days had passed as Lee was in the hospital and every day Gai would come to see if his precious student was awake and every day it was the same. Gai would sit in the hospital room waiting and hoping to see Lees bright eyes open once again …
